My personal biography and background...
First, my name is Thao Tran. I am a Vietnamese American. My family emigrated to the U.S. in the summer of 1975, after the fall of Siagon. Most of my mother's family managed to escape. But, sadly that wasn't the case with my father. He was the only member of his family to escape out of Vietnam. Once in America our extended family spread out, living in many states--Connecticut, Florida, Texas, Kansas, California and Oregon. Today we are really the typical American family, with backyard barbecues and baseball. American football is my favorite, I've been brainwashed by my husband! My immediate family lives in the Midwest and in California. I think it's a law here in the U.S. that at least one member of the family live in California. Personally, I live with my son and husband in the Upper Midwest, complete with huge mosquitos in the summer and TO MUCH SNOW IN THE WINTERS!! I have a "Real Job" that takes up most of my time. My other full time job is my son and husband, of course. Astrology is more of a hobby for me. It was my friends that told me to give "The Web" a try. I really don't know much about the internet, and know even less about computers. But, with the help of my husband, we're muddling through. It was my mother who taught me Chinese Astrology. She in turn was taught by her mother when she was younger. I must tell you, I don't have a special certificate stating I am an expert in Chinese Astrology. I don't have a diploma stating I passed 100 hours in the "Astrological Sciences!" My education is the teachings of my mother. As she was taught by her mother. Most of this website is those teachings written down. However, there are parts I had to "fill in" from outside sources--books, interviews and articles. I feel I am an expert in the Chinese Astrology taught by my mother. More on that later. However, I don't pretend to be the Complete, Absolute, Supreme Expert in Chinese Astrology! If you come across someone that does state they "know it all," well, they have ALOT more time than me. I mean Chinese Astrology is over 6000 years old!! I read somewhere that if all the knowledge of Chinese Astrology were written down, it would fill 2500 VOLUMES of books. We're talking hundeds of THOUSANDS to MILLIONS of pages of content. Just keep this in mind when someone claims to know all about Chinese Astrology.
